About Me

Bio

Jess Pierce is a filmmaker born and raised in St. Louis, based in Los Angeles. She graduates spring 2027 with an MFA in Film and Video from California Institute of the Arts and holds a BFA in Film Production from Webster University. Her years of experience in public media and short film production have informed her continued desire to work in a hybrid space defined by both fiction and nonfiction elements. Much of her work either currently or prospectively focuses on the liminality of memory; expressions of body and voice as a source of spiritual wisdom; and the complexities of colonial dominion over, and interdependence with, the more-than-human world.
